Brainstorming
Developmental Edit
An in-depth evaluation of your manuscript detailing the strengths and weakness. Methods on improvement using craft sources and examples from similar works will be used to craft the report. No comments will be made in the manuscript, but expect big picture feedback on your work.
Line Edit
A full edit of your completed manuscript focusing on the sentence structure. Here, the prose is observed to make sentences flow and more clear. Includes a light copyedit. Along with suggestions in track changes, feedback is given in comments of the document.
Coaching
Proofread
A full, in-depth edit of your final draft to clean up mechanical errors. Such writing elements include spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. Overused and filler words will also be analyzed. A style guide attached to the manuscript is suggested, but not required. Edits are made directly in the manuscript.
Multiple consultation sessions to improve elements of storytelling you're struggling with. Depending on the coaching you'd like, we may discuss methods to plot, develop characters, build tension, and more. Plot beat sheets, character development outlines, and writing prompts may be provided.
Copyedit
A complete edit of your manuscript focusing on the tone, style, syntax, spelling, grammar, and transitions. Plot holes, inconsistencies, and uneven flow will be noted in the comments of the document to ensure readability and cohesiveness. Edits are also made directly in the document.
Brainstorming
A one-on-one, consultation to brainstorm ideas for your novel. After reading the outline or draft of your project, we'll meet to discuss questions, issues, and ideas to help you improve your story or get past your writer's block. Expect to receive notes about your novel in our hour long session.
